* Weekly rates are based on 6 days rental fee with the 7th day's rental fee being free but you
   still pay the 7 days insurance.

** Basic Insurance is required by CR law and does NOT cover the deductible, for which you may
   want to purchase additional full coverage insurance for an additional per day rate of $17, $19
   or $20/day, depending on the type of vehicle you choose. 

** As with all major car rentals companies, a credit card or cash deposit is required to cover the
    insurance deductible and is guaranteed by a separate credit card voucher drawn for the
    specified amount.  This deposit voucher will be returned when vehicle is returned in the same
    condition as rented.  An inspection of the vehicle before and after the rental is performed in
    your presence.  Some credit card issuers offer protection for the deductible amount, but you
    are still liable for this amount, for which in case of damage to the vehicle your card will be
    charged and it will  up to you to settle with your credit card issuer when you get home.
    Therefore you may prefer the additional coverage.  In case of damage due to a traffic
    accident, you must have a report from a CR Traffic Police officer.  In case of other damages,
    such as due to a break-in of the vehicle, you'll need a local police report.

• Renter must have a current legal driver's license and a valid passport.

  Free mileage with two days or more rental.

All renters for 3 or more days are eligible for a free rental phone with no rental charges for the telephone itself, a savings of $8 per day.  User pays only for calls made at a set per minute fee for in-country calls and/or for international calls.  Rental phones are available for in-country calls or optionally for international phone calls also.  A nominal minimum charge per day for calls applies on free phones.
